I blog because I love to write. I’d do this if it was just me talking to myself (and maybe Lola. Hi, Lola.), but getting to hang out with all of you is an extreme added bonus. Other bonuses include the blog being a catalyst for any writing or speaking opportunities I’ve received, and partnering up with great blogs and businesses, small and large alike.
With that said, allow me to say hiiiii and thank youuuuu to people who teamed up with NGN for the month of March.
I know many bloggers throw up posts like this, so in an effort to entertain you… and myself… and because I’ve been playing obnoxious stations on Pandora… I am doing something a little bit different.
Are you familiar with the art of “tagging”? Tagging is apparently a nice way to say “Oh my dang, someone just spray painted gang-related graffiti all over the side of my truck!”
So, to show them that I love and appreciate them, I’ve tagged up some businesses + bloggers (or business/blogger hybrids) and infused some hip hop into their lives.
Kelly Whalen writes the Centsible Life – where motherhood + money meet. Smarty stuff on budgeting and meal planning.
NGN recommends: this inspiring post on Kelly’s journey from turning her blog into a business.
If you don’t understand the song reference, “Turn My Swag On” is an awful song by Souljah Boy. But sometimes it’s catchy, and the comments on youtube are the best. Like “I can’t wait for the English version of this song to come out!” Haha.
Two Poodle Press is fantastic stationery shop. Sissy and I have been working together for a year now, and I love her shop like a tiny child.
NGN recommends: all of the notepads!
Dr. Braglia is my chiropractor and a fellow Run DMC fan (the latter may not be true). If you’re local, check out his practice! And if you’re not local, check out his blog. He is a wealth of healthy living knowledge, and I try to pick his brain as much as possible.
“Chia seeds?” “Eat ‘em.”
“Justin Bieber? “………”
NGN recommends: “How to Be More Productive at Everything“
Rage Against the Minivan is a fantastic blog written by Kristen Howerton. Kristen had four children in four years via birth and adoption. She writes (wonderfully) about parenting and adoption.
NGN recommends: “The Memory-Keeper’s Son”
Also, please be sure to check out…
- Mama May i (Montessori and Waldorf inspired toys)
- Sweet Pea Treasures Too (These crayon rolls + some coloring books are one of my go-to gifts)
- Quite Crafty (Check out her slouchy hats)
- Adeline’s Daddy (Hit Don up if you need some graphic design done!)
- Maclaren Baby (For little babers and kiddies)
I’ll be hitting Mama May i up for some Easter basket fillers tonight. Her toys make awesome quiet time activities. And apparently teaching my girls how to play with matching games is less illegal than teaching them how to spray paint “West Philly” on the sides of brick buildings.
